The place itself is gorgeous and has nice amenities that are open to volunteers, including a pool, sauna, hot tub, little waterfall, an abundance of fruits and herbs, and beautiful areas to relax. The work duties vary considerably depending on the season, but the assigned tasks never occupied more than 4 hours a day, leaving plenty of free time to enjoy paradise. Bruno is a great guy, super easy to communicate with, helpful, and surprisingly chill given how much he has on his plate at all times. The surroundings are beautiful - we really enjoyed visiting the waterfall, swimming in the pool and generally being immersed in nature. The work was structured and varied - we worked 4 hours on weekdays, and had the weekends off. Bruno does a generous weekly shop, and we really enjoyed having access to fresh and healthy ingredients. We even got into making bread, as this is something Bruno encourages. There's a cool sauna and hot tub. “I spent 2 weeks at Bruno's, Barbara's, and their adorable daughter's home and farm, which was an incredible, memorable, and special experience! They are a very relaxed, outgoing, and easygoing family. I was there at the same time as several other volunteers so the experience was very social and intimate, we cooked and ate every meal together, with the food that Bruno provided. There were also avocado, mango, and banana trees, and fresh eggs from a neighbor. During events there's usually a bit more structure as well as more work. You can get a bus or drive to the local town of Amparo which has some nice bars and restaurants. “This is AMAZING place! Really. We volunteered in around 20 workaway projects all over the world, and this was the first one we came back to, two weeks after leaving it. Here you can do so many different things, you can help with farm and gardening, but also organizing events, take part in great workshops, meet absolutely amazing people and enjoy your free time close to swimming pool or waterfall. “My third workaway experience and my favorite one so far. Combination of children and dogs. Great weather, beautiful night sky. Bruno is such a great host. I fell in love with his daughter, little Teresa ❤️. I mostly helped Elaine in the kitchen, I watered the garden, pulled out weeds, helped to clean the house they rent for AirBnB, but what I liked the most was to look after Pina (their female dog) and her six cute puppies. I had very healthy food there as well. I loved playing with Boris (the male dog). This place is highly recommend!”

“Oh how we love this place! <3 We originally organised a two-week stay here at this wonderful property, filled with equally incredible people. We could have easily spent many more weeks here. This is an incredible place to be, and it attracts intelligent, insightful, and hard-working volunteers. Bruno currently oversees the property with assistance from two full-time staff who are really knowledgeable, and willing to teach you many things, from hand-milking cows, wielding a machete, to learning to make yoghurt, cheese, butter, and dulce de leite! The chores are varied, and the return of food and accommodation is almost too good! During the heat of the day we could take the time to relax after a wonderful, hearty, and healthy meal prepared by Elaine. “A fazenda de Brunos é melhor do que as fotos. É muito bem equipado, os quartos são grandes e confortáveis (era muito legal ficar em uma antiga casa de fazenda!). Eles nos receberam com leite fresco, queijo, geleia e ovos de sua fazenda - tudo estava delicioso. Além disso, sua família e amigos são pessoas muito gentis e interessantes. Nós ficamos 2 dias e nos divertimos muito... nós nadamos na piscina, caminhamos pelo terreno, fomos a uma vinícola local e almoçamos em uma fazenda perto da deles. À noite você pode sentar ao ar livre e ver um céu cheio de estrelas, ou simplesmente assistir a um filme na Netflix (a internet é boa!). É um lugar muito descontraído onde você pode se desconectar completamente do mundo exterior, no entanto, o centro da cidade de Amparo fica a 15 minutos de carro. Definitivamente recomendo!”
